• DECIDE – Go through all thoughts you captured. Decide 3 things for them: action, context, outcome.
1. ACTION: the first physical step you can take, e.g. “search flight to Rome”, “buy eggs”, “read GTD introduction”
2. CONTEXT: the location, situation or person you require for doing the action, e.g. “market”, “online”, “Bob”
3. OUTCOME: the desired ultimate result of the action, e.g. “organize birthday party”, “visit Paris”
It is easy to switch between action, context and outcome. Just swipe left or right.
• ACT – Select a context like “market”, “call”, “team meeting” or “dad”. This way you see everything you can do at that moment. Follow your intuition when choosing which action to mark off next. Since you do not need to rethink your tasks again each time you can be productive stress-free.
